Northeast and East Regionals to be Held at Old Salem Farm; Region 3 moves to Southeast Fall Classic

The CP National Horse Show announced today, two changes of location for the ASPCA Maclay Regionals for 2016.

The Northeast Regional, previously held in Fairfield, CT, will now be hosted at the facility at Old Salem Farm in North Salem, NY.

For 2016, the Northeast Regional (Region 1) and the East Regional (Region 2) will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016. These changes come as a result of a suggestion from the National Horse Show Equitation Committee.

The classes will be held as two separate events and will feature a different course for each regional designed by the same, as yet to be announced, course designer. Also, the same two judges (to be determined) will officiate at both regionals.

The CP National Horse Show calls your attention to an addendum to the 2016 Maclay Rules and Specifications. The addendum notes: "Riders whose home regions are either in Region 1 or Region 2 may change into Regions 3 through 8, however, those riders may not alternate between Regions 1 or 2."

The ASPCA Maclay Regional for Region 3 has been moved to the Southeast Fall Classic Horse Show in Tampa, Florida. The event will be held on Sunday, September 25th. Judges for this regional have yet to be determined.

In addition to the always tension-packed ASPCA Maclay, this past year marked the debut of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Lexington at the CP National Horse Show. One of just seven East Coast events, that class will be the highlight again at this year's show when it returns to Lexington on Nov. 1st - 6th, 2016 at the Kentucky Horse Park.
